The client required a specialized test environment to perform rigorous power system tests and detailed rotor system analyses based on highly customizable operational profiles. The core challenge was to accurately map the correlation between variable fluid input parameters, such as pressure and flow, and the resulting turbine performance indicators.

Solution

Proximo designed and built a modular, three-part test rig specifically optimized for rotor and fluid dynamics evaluation. The system layout separates test preparation infrastructures, fluid storage media, and the active rotor section featuring an integrated Pelton turbine equipped with precise, real-time measurement arrays.

Scope of Work

Comprehensive engineering and integration services:

  • Mechanical and structural design of the modular three-part test rig unit
  • Engineering of the test preparation section, including complex hydraulic and electrical installations
  • Integration of dedicated fluid storage and supply sub-circuits
  • Development of the rotor module featuring a high-precision Pelton turbine assembly
  • Implementation of measuring systems for continuous tracking of fluid pressure, flow, rotational speed, torque, and generated current

Outcome

The deployed stand delivers an advanced analytical platform for multi-parameter power system testing.
