The client required an industrial assembly and workshop workbench system tailored to dynamic manufacturing environments. The core challenge was to design an ergonomic structure that ensures total workpiece stability during precise operations, while offering rapid space-saving folding mechanisms and safe multi-component mobility across the production plant.
Solution
Proximo engineered and manufactured highly versatile, heavy-duty folding workbenches based on detailed individual customer requirements. The benches integrate a dual-state mechanical positioning lock and a heavy-duty braking wheel array, paired with passive protective surfaces to prevent accidental material displacement during transit and operation.
Scope of Work
Comprehensive engineering, safety profiling, and customization layout:
- Mechanical design of the modular, foldable workbench structure with adjustable load capacities and scalable dimensions
- Development of a secure mechanical locking system for two specific states: fully folded and unfolded
- Integration of an industrial caster wheel network equipped with robust individual locking brakes for safe transit
- Application of heavy-duty anti-slip workspace mats and raised structural protective edges on the tabletop
- Manufacturing, validation of static/dynamic load thresholds, and final commissioning
Outcome
The deployed workbenches provided a perfect balance between rigidity and flexibility.
